Slope Stabilization/Landslip Repair
Many natural slopes are subjected to changes in their geometry in order to make room for property development. When designing a new property development within a cut slope, consider using Elastizell Systems Elastizell EF Low-Density Cellular Concrete (LDCC) to reduce costs and raise the safety factor.
Landslip Repairs Elastizell Systems
For landslip repairs, Elastizell Systems' expertise can solve landslip issues with the use of MSE walls, retaining walls, roadway subbases, or foundation subbases.
If the toe area of the slope is inaccessible, replacing the unstable soil on top of the slide area with Elastizell Systems Elastizell EF Low-Density Cellular Concrete (LDCC) will significantly reduce the driving force acting on the slide mass and stabilize the slope.
Elastizell EF
- Is only 25% percent of the unit weight of soil
- Has approximately a 4 to 1 replacement ratio for conventional fill materials
- Can be used at the crown scarp of the slide area to reduce the driving force from the weight of the existing soil
- Often less expensive than many alternative systems
- Can be pumped from hundreds of feet away which minimizes construction traffic in the area
- Needs no compaction
- Once fully set Elastizell EF exerts no lateral pressure
- Quick placement can accelerate construction schedules
- Excellent freeze/ thaw resistance and water absorption
- Not susceptible to failure due to hydrocarbons like synthetic lightweight fills.
- Can be used with Segmental Retaining Walls, MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) Walls, Gravity Walls, Cantilevered Walls as well as Counterfort Walls
- Can be used as roadway subbases, or foundation subbases
- Elastizell Systems' ability to expertly mix on-site requires only bulk deliveries which reduces truck traffic by up to 90 percent
Elastizell Systems has provided exceptional lightweight concrete applications and solutions for more than four decades.
